Our mission is to nurture an interconnected community through dance and the movement arts – offering spaces and events that celebrate embodiment and connection.

Aim

To provide daily opportunities for the Bellingham community to explore embodiment through dance and the movement arts—creating a consistent, welcoming space where practitioners and beginners alike can connect, learn, and grow.

Presence is the foundation of our work. We cultivate conscious awareness and invite honesty, vulnerability, and authenticity into every interaction. In maintaining a nurturing container, we encourage people to arrive fully—in body, mind, and heart— and to listen deeply to themselves and to one another. Presence allows healing, creativity, and connection to emerge naturally from the moment.

Connection

We move in relationship—with self, others, and the world.

Presence Studio exists to foster community through movement. We create a space for meaningful connection—between dancers, teachers, students, and the broader community. Through collaboration, compassion, and mutual respect, we build relationships that foster trust, deepen belonging, and strengthen the fabric of our shared humanity.

Embodiment

We honor the wisdom of the body.

Embodiment is both a personal and communal practice—our pathway to cultivating consciousness and creative expression. We create spaces that support physical, emotional, and spiritual healing, encouraging participants to explore boundaries safely and to trust the body’s innate intelligence as a source of insight and transformation.
